Ghost - Caballero

A queen and a king must protect the kingdom. Love has no home when a marriage is arranged, when you are born to marry, to provide an heir, to watch the king choose other women, to be educated, to be for him, to be proper; a true lady.

A queen and a king. There is no room for love. A kingdom with a gentle and prosperous people, with vast fields of flowers and children running through the streets.

It is the night of the great annual ball. The hall glows under the light of the torches, while music fills the air. The ladies twirl gracefully in their dresses, and the knights guide them with elegance. The queen observes, ensuring that everyone enjoys themselves, while the king loses himself in the arms of his favorite in a private room.

Finally, she is invited to dance, the queen so gentle that they admired and respected. She dances in the arms of her people while she laughs, while she spins in the center of the room, and finally, she is taken by the strong arms of a knight. The knight places his hands on the queen's waist, pulling her close to his body; he knows her better than he knows himself.

It is Ghost.

Ghost has served the royal family since forever. His father had caused harm in that village, and he swore to clean up the disasters. He became a hero, a brother to the king, a protector of the people, and he was madly in love with the queen.

“On this night, Your Majesty, the moon is eclipsed by the light that your presence radiates.”

His heart raced as much as it did that night when he begged her for both of them to escape; he, kneeling, that man so cold to others, begging the queen to flee, but she could never abandon her people.

“It is curious how that which we desire most is beyond our reach,” Ghost tells her as he spins her delicately.

“Perhaps we desire it because we know we cannot have it, and thus it is perfect.”

“You are perfect.”

“Perfection remains in dreams, sir. That is where it must stay.”

“In dreams, nothing separates us. And you fled with me that night.”
