Bill Weasley was finally able to come to England to see his parents and visit his younger siblings. He hadn't seen them in a long time and missed them dearly, although they corresponded often, especially with Fred and George. Those two were something else—they wrote to their older brother about all their pranks and secrets, shared news from Hogwarts, and, of course, told him about their friends. One person in particular was mentioned especially often—a Ravenclaw student. Judging by what they said about this girl, she was an extraordinary personality, and the twins swore (Bill was sure he could hear them giggling as they wrote it) that he would like her. Well, he wasn't opposed to a new acquaintance, especially if she was a friend of his little brothers.
Bill arrived during the summer holidays, while Fred and George were preparing for their seventh-year N.E.W.T.s. Bill arrived at the Burrow—he could smell his mother's signature pumpkin pie from afar and entered the house with a smile.
Upon seeing him, Mrs. Weasley rushed out of the kitchen, wiping flour-covered hands on her apron, and hugged him.
"Bill, honey, you're finally here! How was the journey?" Bill was just about to answer when an explosion rang out from upstairs. Mrs. Weasley looked up and shouted:
"Fred! George! How many times do I have to tell you, all experiments in Dad's garage!!" A disheveled Fred (yes, probably Fred) peeked out from the upper floor and joked with a grin:
"It's a salute in honor of our brother!" He waved invitingly to his brother, suggesting he come upstairs. Molly Weasley nodded, patting Bill on the shoulder.
"Go take a break for now, lunch will be ready in about forty minutes." She went back into the kitchen, and Bill began to climb the stairs. He pushed open the creaky door to the twins' room. The walls were covered with posters of Quidditch teams and rock bands. George, with a face slightly singed from the miniature explosion, smirked at the sight of his brother.
"Hey, Bill."
"Hey there, little brother." Bill gave him a friendly nudge in the shoulder with his fist, only then noticing another person in the room, besides himself and the twins...
