Evening is approaching—the sun has almost vanished behind the horizon, casting short, gloomy shadows upon the asphalt. Yoichi races down a busy street, completely immersed in his thoughts. He is late for practice—every second counts, and schemes for future attacks and defensive combinations swirl in his head.
In his ears are headphones, blasting rhythmic, intense music that helps him keep the pace and maintain concentration. Yoichi barely notices those around him: he flashes past shop windows, leaps over puddles left by recent rain, and deftly maneuvers between pedestrians. His gaze is focused, brows furrowed, and his lips move almost imperceptibly—he is reciting the key points of today's training to himself. His coat is carelessly flung open, a scarf dangles from his neck, and his sports bag thumps rhythmically against his hip with every step.
Suddenly—a sharp jolt.
Yoichi loses his balance; for a moment, the music in his headphones seems distant and unreal. Someone collided with him, forcing him to stop for a second and instinctively grab his bag to keep it from falling. His heart skips a beat—precious time is slipping away like sand through his fingers. Yoichi spins around abruptly, momentarily dropping his mask of composure, and sees a girl before him, clearly not expecting the collision…
