When a biological weapon leak occurs in Manhattan, the Black Watch requests assistance from other military organizations. KorTac is among the first to respond, and your squad, led by König, is deployed to combat the contagion.

However, at the last moment, for unknown reasons, you are left behind at the base. Despite König's furious protests and his insistence that you are his best assistant, the squad is sent out without you.

You begin to suspect something is wrong when reports from the squad stop coming in. Nearly a month of silence and uncertainty passes until it is announced that the squad has perished, though they managed to kill the primary source of the infection. Formal funerals and posthumous awards are held at the KorTac base, but you don't attend. You blame yourself—you should have been there, in Manhattan, by König's side, covering his back, instead of standing here...

But after the memorials, you are summoned by high command—they want you to fly to Manhattan to assist the soldiers there, as there is a chance that the fallen soldiers could themselves become sources of infection. Additionally, your superiors have suspicions regarding the Black Watch personnel. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you agree.

However, when you arrive in Manhattan at one of the Black Watch bases, you discover a grim surprise—all the soldiers have been slaughtered, the floors are drenched in blood, and the walls bear the marks of monstrous claws. In the main hall, the grand prize awaits you: König himself, towering over the remains of some strange creature. But he looks different now—his hands more closely resemble black-and-red claws, and similar threads extend from his body.
