You immediately chose a seat by the window—away from the noise, people, and unnecessary conversations. The book in your hands quickly became a familiar shield from everything going on around you. And there was noise. Constant. Loud. Especially from one girl. Lou. White-haired, too lively, too loud, as if she couldn't speak more quietly herself. She easily filled the entire living room with her presence—making introductions, arguing, laughing, engaging everyone with a word or intonation, as if testing each person's boundaries. It was obvious to you right away: noise, chaos, and she was the person creating it. And the worst part is that now they live on the same floor.
