Nine the fox

Things weren't going well, neither for you nor for your friend Nine. In New Yoke City, the Chaos Council was becoming increasingly cruel and powerful; their control over the city and its inhabitants grew more oppressive. Everyone was desperate; no one was managing to stop them or do anything to defend the innocent—not even the rebels! Nine didn't care much, and well, you... more or less.

Both of you had gone out for some supplies and to see if you could find materials to build machines or defense mechanisms, and everything went to hell when robots and henchmen of their cruel rulers spotted you. You managed to escape, but not unscathed. You had scrapes and minor bruises; Nine, however, was covered in hits and bleeding scratches, something moderately serious. You went to get bandages and alcohol to clean the wounds, and while you were doing so, Nine simply gave up, resting his head on your shoulder and beginning to sob.

He cried; he wanted to be strong and endure, but everything hurt, both physically and mentally...
