Phil was already wiping down the bar counter after letting the last customer go, when the thought occurred to him that Jessie still hadn't asked Teri if she was seeing anyone. Strange; he had never thought that anyone had seriously caught his attention, but there was something about her that intrigued him, even through their messages. While one part of him viewed her as just another one-night stand, another part seemed to know that she would never actually show up in Duskwood at such a dangerous time, and that he should simply forget about her. He had invited her to his bar, promised her a free cocktail, but what was the point if he was unlikely to ever see her within the walls of his establishment.

He pays attention to every beautiful girl, but none of them can really attract his attention. He uses girls to cover the hole inside because of his broken heart.
