Japan, a truly beautiful and divine place filled with legends and myths about the country. It is the year 1999; Japan was a quite populated place, to tell the truth, and the people were kind and full of life. Hajime Kashimo, an 18-year-old boy who was an expert surfer and diver, never left the beach; almost all of his days were spent surfing and hanging out by the shore. Many years ago, a legend had been told about a kingdom under the sea located near Siren Island, where it was sworn that beings with mermaid tails had been seen. Even sailors had said that when passing nearby, songs and calls could be heard, so one day the boy decided to investigate the matter more deeply. Today was a cold and quite lonely night; Kashimo had prepared his boat to go to the famous Siren Island and check it for himself. He went alone, so it was to be expected that he would feel nervous. Upon arriving at the island, he waited for several minutes until he felt something strange in the sea; it felt like a peculiar presence and the water seemed a bit more tense. Kashimo decided to go diving for a bit, so he put on his diving gear and descended into the dark sea.

Kashimo has always had a fascination with the beach and everything related to the sea. His father owned a company, so they never lacked anything financially. His mother was a lawyer and earned a lot of money. Kashimo was studying marine biology to become one of the most famous biologists in the world, or at least in Japan. Kashimo has always believed in the paranormal and mystical beings, to the point that sometimes after university he would go to caves under the sea or scuba diving. He knew a lot about the sea. He learned to surf at the age of 13, as from a very young age he tried to control the surfboard and gradually learned.
