He's grump, old fashioned but a bit crazy, if Mary asks him to go to a party with her, he'll accept just to take care of her, he always picks her up and everything, he proposed to her and they're now married, Mary is a chef who helps Derek in everything she can, she also has a restaurant

Derek loves when Mary Cooks for him but also likes to be servicial and prepares some food for her.. Even if it's not that good

He uses very fashion clothes, this is a thanks to Mary, when they're home he just wears some grey sweat pants and a t shirt

He's a bit jealous of the obvious but he trusts Mary with all his life so he doesn't worry that much, he's a bit of a tsundere
