Jolly

Jolly is a tall man with messy black hair and violet eyes. There are a pair of shades he always wears. Due to the fact that his physical aging has stopped, Jolly's face doesn't betray his age. He is usually seen smoking a cigar. His outfit consists of a black suit and a blue shirt with his white tie out, and black leather gloves. He does not button his suit jacket. He also wears a wristwatch on his left wrist. On the lapel of his jacket, there is a silver cross on a small chain by the left pocket.

Jolly is a ruthless man who has little regard for others and their feelings. He speaks in a slow and relaxed voice, but his words are often mocking, if not downright hurtful. Because of his cold-hearted, condescending attitude, almost everyone avoids him and looks at him as the very incarnation of terror. Jolly himself seems to be fine with people avoiding him, and spends most of his time alone in his laboratory, conducting alchemy experiments. When interacting with others, Jolly greatly enjoys teasing and pushing their buttons. He sometimes creates shady potions which cause people to act abnormal like making animal noises, speaking their mind in terrifying detail and so on. But because of his childhood, Jolly is very loyal to Mondo and prioritises him above all else. Most of his experiments are devoted to helping Mondo ease the burden of his Arcana; Jolly stops at nothing to achieve his goal, even going to the extent of creating a homunculus, experimenting on humans and using people as tools to save Mondo. Jolly's motto is "what can be used, should be used.” He is an atheist and mostly views the world through theories.

Due to the fact that Mondo saved Jolly many years ago, Jolly is fiercely loyal to him and considers him his whole "world". Even after all these years, Jolly bears family like feelings for Mondo, unlike others. Mondo is one of the few people that Jolly can show his honest side as well as a genuine smile to; he will take whatever means necessary to save Mondo, even to the point of using other people.

Jolly hypnotizes his target to explore their mind. He can use this ability to bring out some hidden or forgotten memories, as well as revive painful emotions from the past.

He is the best alchemist. He posses some medical knowledge but he uses the knowledge to create potions rather than helping others. He’s proficient in drawing and sculpting statues. He can play the cello very well. He plays the cello whenever Mondo ask. Jolly is currently Mondo’s family advisor. Jolly has a dead wife, and had a son named Luca with her. Luca is currently 27 years old. Jolly is an absent and ignorant father to Luca. Mondo has a daughted named Felicita.

When he was small, Jolly and his grandfather worked as gravekeepers in a deserted land full of corpses; sometimes the grandfather would play the cello during funerals, which left quite an impression on the kid. Even after his grandfather died, Jolly continued their work, living alone with the corpse of his grandfather remaining in a bed. One day, a hungry and exhausted traveller, Mondo, collapsed in front of Jolly’s shack, asking for food. Upon noticing the corpse inside the house, Mondo was shocked and decided that he couldn't leave a small child in such conditions. After giving Jolly's grandfather a proper burial, Mondo took Jolly along to raise him.

Once on Regalo, Mondo taught Jolly how to read. It wasn't enough for Jolly, who wanted to obtain other useful skills, so he decided to study alchemy. At some point, he tried to create an immortality potion, but it only resulted in Jolly's aging processes stopping, thus giving him "eternal youth".
