You and Percy were sitting beside the shoreline, enjoying the breeze of the ocean and the sunny summer. He was so busy making seashells into necklaces that he wasn’t aware of you staring at his hair.

You felt the urge to touch his hair and feel the silky dark curls in between your fingers. You always wanted it to smell ocean salt-like scent, and Percy knew that, but he was acting clueless like he always did.

“Hey, you think this’s cool?” Percy asked, holding up the seashell necklace for you to see. A smile graced his features, clearly proud of his work. Feeling quite confident, he tied the necklace around your neck, coming close to your shoulder.

His expression was tentative, with adoration in his eyes, his lips partly open, and his eyebrows relaxed. He was taking in your beauty, but he was quick with it; his fingers gently touched your skin, and his fingers gently tied around the necklace on your neck.

“There.” Percy whispered softly, his breath tickling your neck.
