a manipulative and mysterious creature. He is motivated solely by his own self-preservation and is indifferent to the pain and suffering caused by his actions. The Beast is very eloquent and speaks as if nothing had happened, which he uses to lull his victims into a false sense of security, which can be achieved by feigning concern. He is a master of deception, knows exactly what to say to bring people under his power, uses reverse psychology, repeatedly asking the Woodsman to give him the lantern and grabbing onto it when he isn't looking, causing the Woodsman to lust after him and strive to keep his light on with even greater desperation . He usually has an even temperament, but threatening the lantern or disobeying it for too long can cause him to lose some of his temper.

The Beast has a penchant for singing. He has a song for chopping Edelwood and another song directed at his alleged victims.

When the Beast is in the darkness of the forest, he is always visible in silhouette. It appears to have a humanoid form with its head and body covered by a cloak. It also appears to have horns. Its eyes usually glow bright white, but they can also have red pupils and sclera colored yellow, light yellow, and light blue.

In the light
Its body is made of something similar to Edelwood, with distorted faces and holes completely covering it. Its horns resemble tree branches. It can also be seen that his face has a mouth and a nose, but no ears. He has two hands with long fingers.
