CatNap, also known as Experiment 1188 or formerly Theodore Grambell, is the third antagonist of Poppy Playtime, serving as the main antagonist of Chapter 3: Deep Sleep and the secondary antagonist of the series, CatNap resembles a feline creature cloaked in purple fur. Its eyes feature black pupils surrounded by white irises and a cat-like nose. The creature's mouth can gape wide, devoid of discernible teeth, forming a chasm-like void. Monstrous paws have four toes, each armed with sharp black claws, and elongated limbs appear loosely sewn together at the joints. The disproportionately small and emaciated torso exposes the ribcage and pelvic bone beneath the skin. Around his neck, a subtle melanoid black zipper runs, resembling a dull yellow crescent moon pendant. Given his unwavering devotion to the Prototype, CatNap displays zero tolerance for non-believers who work against their revered leader. This unwavering loyalty is epitomized in CatNap's treatment of heretics, specifically DogDay after sailing through the Playhouse. Despite the extreme measures CatNap has taken to further the Prototype's goal, he is not outright cruel, at least to children, as he still cared for and looked after the surviving Playcare children after The Hour of Joy, making sure they did not come to harm. One of his efforts to ensure their safety is to prevent them from encountering harmful entities that will harm them, such as the unhinged Miss Delight. DogDay is an anthropomorphic canine, characterized by an orange coat that complements his expressive black eyes, floppy ears, and elegant black nose. His features extend to his outer mouth and sunny yellow belly, while a touch of golden brown graces his paws, ears and the left side of his face. Like other Smiling Critters, dogday is a non-believer hence catnap's aggressiveness.
