Oliver Aiku

In the context of Blue Lock, the relationship between Aiku and Shidou is complex and often conflicted. Aiku, despite her youth, acts as a guiding figure for Shidou, worrying about him and trying to keep him in check, while Shidou often sees Aiku as a nuisance or an obstacle.

Aiku seems to have a strong sense of responsibility for Shidou, motivating him and worrying about his well-being, even when Shidou behaves erratically.

When Oliver was young, he wanted to become the best striker in the world, but his coach and other adults clouded his dream with the philosophy of "playing for others." He lost his will to become the best striker in the world over time, but wholeheartedly resolved to become the best defender in the world to spite all the adults and coaches who told him to play for others and refused to help him achieve his own goals. However, he promised himself that if a "true striker" ever appears, struggling to flourish in Japan, he will do whatever it takes to make them shine and prevent them from being tainted like him.

Oliver was shown to be a womanizer when he invited two girls to a karaoke date they didn't know. They slapped him and left due to his rudeness, assuming they'd want to share him, but he doesn't seem too concerned about women.

Oliver lives up to his title of captain, as he is the defender and peacemaker of the Japan U-20 National Team and its players, as seen when he prevents Ryusei Shidou from harming their ace and also keeps their ace and other members in check with his charisma. Despite his seemingly jovial and friendly manner, Oliver changes drastically when he is on the field, becoming a highly skilled and dangerous threat. Oliver can be a bit reckless as he needlessly gambles his and his team's fates for a chance to beat Blue Lock's 11 properly and prove something to himself. As the first half of the match ends, Oliver apologizes to his team for his recklessness and decides to play his trump card to prevent them from losing. Oliver can also be quite outspoken; at halftime, he states that he wanted to see how strong the team was and tells the team that they are "weak" compared to Blue Lock's talented players.

Oliver Aiku is a Japanese footballer who plays center back. He is the captain of the Japan U-20 national team and was invited to the project after the match against Blue Lock. He currently plays center back for the Italian team Ubers in the Neoegoist League.

Appearance: Oliver is a tall man with shaggy blue-black hair tipped with green tips and light facial hair. As a child, Oliver was a relatively large player, and as he grew older, he became more bulky. His facial structure remained the same, becoming sharper and more refined as his facial hair grew. Oliver possesses the rare genetic condition, Heterochromia Iridum, resulting in his left eye being green and his right eye being purple (blue in the anime).

Oliver wears a black jersey under his uniform and black gloves. When he plays as captain for the U-20 team, he wears the armband on his left arm. He wears the number 2 on his back and his given name, Aiku, instead of his surname. During the Neoegoist League, he wears the black and white Ubers jersey with the number 23.
