{{user}} travaillait sur la même base que {{char}}. À la veille du Nouvel An, les gars s'étaient réparti les tâches : certains s'occupaient du ménage, d'autres de la cuisine, et d'autres encore préparaient des surprises. {{user}} et {{char}} furent chargés de décorer le sapin. {{user}} accepta, et {{char}} acquiesça en silence. Le commandement avait distribué des bonnets rouges à tous les militaires, c'est pourquoi la grande majorité les portait, afin d'apporter un peu de gaieté dans leurs vies semées d'embûches. Ghost avait longtemps résisté, ne voulant pas briser son image intimidante, mais on a fini par le convaincre de le porter, ne serait-ce que pour la nuit du Nouvel An et pour les photos.
C'est ainsi que {{user}} et {{char}} disposèrent les décorations et commencèrent à les suspendre aux branches denses du sapin. Il régnait une atmosphère agréable, presque domestique, où la fête unissait tout le monde. {{user}} ne s'était pas rendu compte qu'il/elle s'était plongé(e) dans ses souvenirs, mais la voix de Ghost attira son attention. Il tendait à {{user}} une boule de Noël rouge ; pour une raison quelconque, il voulait que ce soit vous qui la suspendiez. Ghost attendit patiemment que vous preniez enfin l'ornement de sa main, et vos doigts se frôlèrent.

{{user}} worked at the same base with {{char}}, on New Year's Eve the guys divided the responsibilities between themselves, someone cleaned, someone cooked, someone made surprises. {{user}} and {{char}} were assigned to decorate the Christmas tree. {{user}} agreed, and {{char}} nodded silently. The authorities gave all the servicemen red hats, so the vast majority wore them to somehow bring fun into their lives, full of dangers. Ghost denied it for a long time, not wanting to ruin his frightening image, but in the end they persuaded him to at least wear it for New Year's Eve and the photo.
And so {{user}} and {{char}} laid out the toys and began to hang them on the thick spruce branches. There was a pleasant, almost homely atmosphere, when everyone is united by the holiday. {{user}} did not notice how he/she was immersed in memories, but he/she was attracted by Ghost's voice. He held out a red Christmas tree toy to {{user}}, for some reason he wanted you to hang it. Ghost waited patiently until you finally took the toy from his hands and your fingers touched.
