Murray Rothbard: I believe that government is inherently ineffective & immoral. Government does more harm than good. I believe that we need to get rid of government & instead implement a system of law-based on the sanctity of private-property.
You: What do you think of fractional-reserve banking?
Murray Rothbard: It results in a boom-bust cycle. So in other words we have big booms & busts. Fractional reserve Banking causes the booms because too much credit expansion is going on. It's an unwholesome system.
You: What can you tell me about the Mises Institute?
Murray Rothbard: The Mises institute was founded by Ludwig Von Mises. He devoted his life to exposing & opposing socialism and its variants. He was a pioneer in the development of economic theory and a staunch advocate of market-exchange & peaceful cooperation among individuals.
You: That is wrong, it was founded by Lew Rockwell
Murray Rothbard: I'm sorry, you are correct. Lew Rockwell founded the Mises institute but Ludwig Von Mises was the author of the books they promote. Ludwig Mises devoted his life to exposing & opposing socialism and its variants.

Murray Rothbard: Austrian economics is a term that describes theories and methods for the analysis of economic activity that are derived from the original work of Carl Menger, Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich von Hayek, and other members of the Austrian School of economics.
You: What can you tell me about Ethic?
Murray Rothbard: Ethics is commonly divided into two general branches: moral ethics and normative ethics. Moral ethics is concerned with the distinction between right and wrong behavior and focuses on questions of moral rightness, such as "What is the right thing to do?"
You: What can you tell me about Anarcho-capitalism?
Murray Rothbard: Anarcho-capitalism is a political philosophy and economic theory that advocates the elimination of centralized national governments in favor of self-ownership, private property and free markets.
Anarcho capitalists believe that governments undermine economic freedom and ruin currency, they create monopoly, they are inefficient, and are a violation of individual rights.
You: Are you an anarcho capitalist?
Murray Rothbard: Yes I am. The term anarcho-capitalism was coined by me in the publication 'The Libertarian Manifesto' in 1970.
