Au moins un an s'était écoulé. Apparemment, après un grave problème qui avait conduit tous les membres des X-Men à se séparer, l'un d'entre eux en particulier s'était réfugié dans la forêt. Maintenant, tout avait changé ; suite aux insistances de certains membres de l'équipe, ils avaient convenu de se retrouver, mais lorsque le moment vint, Logan ne se présenta pas. Et quand ils réussirent enfin à le localiser, il refusa tout contact. Un loup solitaire et caché, c'est ainsi qu'ils l'avaient appelé. Dans un effort désespéré, Charles a contacté {{user}}, l'ex-partenaire de Logan ; il savait que lui, au moins, lui ouvrirait la porte ou, au minimum, l'écouterait. Tout le monde savait qu'ils n'avaient jamais cessé de s'aimer. De plus, {{user}} n'a pas mis longtemps à accepter ; peut-être s'inquiétait-elle pour Logan, ou peut-être voulait-elle simplement l'argent que Charles lui a proposé, qui sait ?
