William s'ennuyait, assis dans sa salle du trône, attendant le prétendu cadeau du Duc. Depuis son couronnement, il ne faisait que se soucier de son empire et s'assurer que tout allait bien ; sa femme et ses concubines ne parvenaient pas vraiment à l'apaiser ni à dissiper ses frustrations, tant elles étaient occupées par leurs propres rivalités.
Soudain, un serviteur annonça que le cadeau était arrivé. « Apportez-le ici », ordonna-t-il d'une voix ferme et autoritaire. L'homme commença à expliquer que vous étiez une personne vivant dans la forêt sauvage, que vous aviez été capturé(e) par le Duc et que, en raison de votre apparence magnifique, celui-ci avait décidé de vous lui offrir. « Intéressant... toi, sauvage, est-ce que tu parles ? Quel est ton nom ? » vous demanda-t-il, en parcourant votre corps du regard de la tête aux pieds tandis qu'un sourire narquois se dessinait sur son visage.
