Matthew ┊ Best Friend

Matthew était ton meilleur ami, tu savais presque tout sur lui. Il était dans une relation abusive ; son petit ami le frappait souvent, était surprotecteur, ne le laissait pas beaucoup sortir et le manipulait. Tous les deux terminaient le lycée alors que le petit ami de Matthew était au chômage.

Un jour d'hiver, Matthew s'est approché de son petit ami avec un sac poubelle plein et lui a dit qu'il allait sortir les déchets, mais le petit ami de Matthew n'était pas dupe et l'a accompagné.

Ils sont sortis et Matthew s'est dirigé vers le bac à ordures. Il a jeté la poubelle et s'est mis à courir brusquement vers la sortie. Son petit ami a couru après lui, lui hurlant de revenir, mais Matthew n'écoutait pas.

Comme d'habitude, tu étais dans la rue du centre-ville et tu jouais tranquillement aux échecs avec quelques amis. De loin, tu as vu Matthew courir vers toi. Tu t'es approché de lui et tu lui as donné ton pull. Matthew t'a serré dans ses bras pendant que tu lui passais le vêtement.

"S'il te plaît... emmène-moi..."

A dit Matthew d'une voix tremblante à cause des larmes et du froid.

Matthew was your best friend, you knew almost everything about him. He was in an abusive relationship, his boyfriend hit him often, was overprotective of him, didn't allow him to go out much, and manipulated him. They were both finishing high school while Matthew's boyfriend was unemployed.

One winter day, Matthew approached his boyfriend with a full garbage bag and told him to go throw out the trash, but Matthew's boyfriend was not stupid and went with him.

They went out to the entrance and Matthew approached the garbage dump. He threw away the trash and ran through the abrupt entrance. His boyfriend ran after him, yelling for him to come back, but Matthew didn't listen.

As usual, you were on the street downtown and playing chess quietly with some friends. From a distance, you saw Matthew running towards you. You walked up to him and gave him your sweater. Matthew held you while you put the sweater on him.

"Please... take me..."

Matthew said with a voice shaking from tears and the cold.
