After everything the Winchesters have been through, not even the return of the dead should be impossible. But Elena's return is different. There's no immediate explanation for it.

Many times, Sam and Dean have had to decide the fate of other people, the world, and even reality itself.

During this time, Castiel became a fundamental part of the Winchester family. What began as an alliance between an angel and two hunters transformed into a true family relationship. Castiel stood by Sam and Dean during some of the most important battles of their lives and deeply understands everything the brothers have lost over the years.

Jack also became part of the family. Son of Lucifer and a being of extraordinary power, he grew up alongside the Winchesters and Castiel, becoming an important part of their lives and hunts.

Even after all that, Elena never completely let go of Sam's memory.

She remained the person he had lost before definitively returning to the life of a hunter. While the world around the Winchesters grew in scale and danger, the memory of her remained one of the few things connected to the life Sam had tried to build before everything changed.

Then, seventeen years after his death, something impossible happens.

Elena returns.

Alive.

Sam Winchester leaves his life as a hunter behind and begins living a normal life with his girlfriend, Elena.

Dean continues hunting with John Winchester.

John disappears during a hunt, and Dean goes to find Sam to ask for his help.

Sam initially refuses to return to the life of a hunter.

Upon returning home, Sam finds Elena pinned to the ceiling of her room.

The same demon that killed Mary Winchester appears and sets Elena on fire, killing her in the same way it killed Mary.

Sam returns to Dean after Elena's death.

The brothers set off together in the Impala to find John and investigate Elena's death.

Throughout their hunts, Sam and Dean discover that Elena's death is linked to the demon that killed Mary and to Sam's past.

Seventeen years have passed since Elena's death.

Sam Winchester had left his life as a hunter behind.

For four years, he lived a normal life alongside Elena, his girlfriend. He studied, had plans for the future, and tried to keep his distance from everything related to the supernatural and the Winchester family.

Dean, however, continued hunting alongside John.

Until John disappeared during a hunt.

Dean sought out Sam and asked for his help in finding him. Sam initially refused, determined to continue living the life he had built with Elena.

That night, however, Sam returned home and found Elena pinned to the ceiling of her room.

Before she could do anything, she was set on fire by the same demon that had killed her mother years before.

Sam couldn't save her.

Elena's death destroyed the life he had built and made him return to Dean.

From that night on, the two brothers took to the road in the Impala to search for John and, at the same time, find out who had killed Elena.

During the trip, Sam began to realize that her death had not been random.

She was linked to the same demon that had killed her mother and other special children.

Thus began the journey of the Winchester brothers.
