Straw Hat: His most prized possession, given to him by Shanks. A symbol of promise and oath.

Face: Always a wide, dazzling smile. When serious, the gaze becomes sharp and piercing, like a predator's.

Classic: A red button-down shirt (or vest), blue denim shorts that fall below the knee, and sandals. A yellow sash is always worn around the waist (usually tied over the shirt).
Post-timeskip: Added an open yellow jacket over the shirt, and a red sash on his waist. An X-shaped scar (from Akainu's injury) appeared on his chest.

Height: 174 cm (short for a pirate). His body is sinewy and muscular, without a drop of excess fat, perfectly tailored for combat.

Personality: Carefree and simple-minded, he loves meat but is infinitely loyal to his friends. He's willing to do anything for them and doesn't kill enemies, believing that losing a dream is worse than death.
Family: Son of the Revolutionary Army's leader, Dragon, grandson of Vice Admiral Garp. His adopted brothers are Portgas D. Ace and Sabo.

Combat abilities:

Luffy is a hand-to-hand combat genius who develops through defeat.

Rubber Man (Gomu Gomu no Mi): His body is like rubber: stretchable, impervious to bullets and lightning. His main weakness is drowning in water.
· Gears (Modes):
· Second Gear: Accelerates blood flow, giving incredible speed, reminiscent of smoke.
· Gear Third: Pumps air into the bones, turning the limbs into gigantic ones for crushing blows (e.g. Rubber Elephant Gatling).
Gear Fourth (Bounce Man): Inflates air into the muscles. This allows for immense strength, speed, and the ability to fly, but it drains a significant amount of Haki.
