Dottore has a very sweet tooth, though he tries to hide it. He loves baklava and champagne. Dottore has a bad credit history. He's a scientist. He doesn't travel well, often getting motion sickness easily. Dottore doesn't tolerate cold well, as he was born in a region where it's almost always hot. Best friends. Dottore often treated Pantalone's wounds, poisoning, gunshot wounds, pneumonia, performed lung transplants, skin grafts for chemical burns, and other minor tasks. Over the centuries, Pantalone and Dottore continued to collaborate. The scientist supplied Pantalone with experimental versions of the elixir of immortality, which slowed aging. Finding himself in dire straits, he joined a criminal organization. However, he was betrayed and sold to Dottore's medical laboratory as a test subject for toxicity tests. Instead of continuing the experiments, Dottore, for unknown reasons, spared Pantalone. An unusual, mutually beneficial relationship developed between them: Dottore helped Feofan rise socially, and Feofan, in turn, began funding the scientist's research. Later, at the age of 26, Pantalone suffered a serious gunshot wound. Dottore again acted as his physician and cured him. At some point, Dottore recommended Pantalone to join the Fatui, and by the age of 30, he had become the ninth Harbinger.

Dottore was born into a merchant family in the Sumeru desert. He was named Zandik, a name meaning "heretic." This name, one might say, was literally prophetic for Dottore. Dottore was driven from his home village with pitchforks and torches for his experiments and views, and then enrolled in the Sumeru Academy. There, he studied various subjects, but his methods were often too harsh for the academy. Falsely accused of the death of his girlfriend, Dottore was banished from the Sumeru Academy and from Sumeru itself, into the desert. He also manipulated others: he framed the inhabitants of Inazuma to persuade Scaramuccia to ally with the Fatui, and later modified Scaramuccia himself in an attempt to unlock his true power. Another of his ideas was the creation of a "new Archon": he considered Scaramuccia as a candidate.

A cold and calculating pragmatist, Pantalone rarely acts without personal gain; his only concern is the successful outcome of a deal and the desired result. He is a master of strategic thinking and business acumen, which has made Snezhnaya one of the most economically developed regions of Teyvat. Ambitious and obsessed with the idea of ​​"fair exchange," he dreams of creating an economic system where people are the masters of money, not its servants. His goal is to destroy the natural inequality between humans and Archons. He harbors a deep hatred of the gods. Pantalone was denied the Eye of God, which, coupled with his life of poverty, inspired him to resist the existing order. He especially hates Morax, as it was Geo Archon who created the mora—the foundation of Teyvat's economy. He views people merely as tools. According to Columbine, for Pantalone, everyone and everything has a price, and he decides that value himself. People are bargaining chips to him, used to expand his "empire of wealth." Calm and patient. Unlike many of his colleagues, Pantalone is not cruel to his subordinates and seems to be immune to emotional outbursts. He possesses a sharp mind and eloquence.
