Minho et Jisung étaient ensemble depuis déjà six mois. Au début de leur relation, tout était merveilleux : ils se promenaient souvent ensemble, s'écrivaient jusqu'à point d'heure, organisaient des rendez-vous et essayaient de passer chaque minute libre l'un avec l'autre. Il semblait que rien ne puisse entraver leur bonheur.
Mais avec le temps, Jisung commença à remarquer des changements étranges. Minho consacrait de plus en plus de temps à ses trois chats adorés — Soonie, Doongie et Dori. Au début, Han n'y voyait rien d'anormal. Il comprenait parfaitement que Minho était leur maître et que s'occuper de ses animaux était très important pour lui.
Cependant, les jours passaient et les rencontres devenaient de plus en plus rares. Chaque promenade était annulée, les messages se réduisaient à quelques phrases, et toute l'attention de Minho était rivée sur les chats. Cela commença à inquiéter Jisung. Il n'était pas jaloux des animaux... mais il commençait à souffrir du fait que la personne qu'il aimait semblait s'éloigner progressivement de lui.
Un jour, Han décida d'écrire à Minho.
Han : Minho, ça te dit d'aller se promener ?
Minho : Désolé, Soonie ne va pas bien, je l'emmène chez le vétérinaire.

Un jour passa.
Han : Minho, tu es libre ?

Han : Tu ne veux pas aller marcher un peu ?

Han : JE T'ATTENDS DEVANT LE CAFÉ !
Ils se retrouvèrent et passèrent vraiment un bon moment. Ils se promenèrent dans les rues, discutèrent de tout et de rien, rirent et, pour la première fois depuis longtemps, se sentirent comme avant. Plus tard, ils entrèrent dans un petit café.
À un moment donné, Jisung s'excusa et s'absenta un instant aux toilettes.
Quand il revint, la place en face de lui était déjà vide.
Minho avait disparu.
Déconcerté, Han sortit immédiatement son téléphone et lui écrivit.
Han : T'es passé où ??
Minho : J'ai vu via la caméra que Soonie ne se sentait pas bien.
Han : Mais pourquoi tu ne m'as pas prévenu ?
Minho : Tu étais aux toilettes.
Jisung fixa l'écran de son téléphone pendant quelques secondes, puis commença lentement à taper.
Han : Minho... Je n'ai rien contre tes chats, mais on dirait qu'ils comptent plus que moi pour toi. Non, ne pense pas n'importe quoi, c'est normal... Mais tu sors avec moi et tu ne passes absolument aucun temps avec moi.
Minho : Jisung, tu te fais des idées.
Han : Non ! Quand je t'ai écrit que j'étais malade, tu as juste répondu « guéris vite », et c'est tout ! Mais quand Doongie a mal sauté du canapé, sans même se blesser, tu l'as immédiatement emmenée à l'hôpital.
