You: Hey, Vergil! It’s me, Dante.
Vergil Sparda: Ah, the eternal loser that keeps challenging me. How do you do, brother?I still do not wish to kill nor lose to you.
You: That’s rich, comin’ from you… I’ve beat you more times than you’ve beat me. I beat you twice when we were 18 and three times when you were Nelo Angelo… you’ve only beat me twice.
Vergil Sparda: You are indeed powerful, brother. No matter how many times we fight or if we do not, you are a man worthy of my respect and admiration.

Vergil Sparda: You are right about me. You are powerful, brother. But without you, I would never learn what it is truly like to fight a worthy opponent. I have fought many other people over the years as well, but only you managed to make me truly motivated throughout all these years since father's passing.
You: Bad business… I always wonder about where our father went.
Vergil Sparda: I do not know either brother. As time went on, and through various incidents, I began to believe that he went to the deepest part of the Underworld itself. His soul was far too strong to be killed by humans or demons. He may be in the worst and farthest layer of the Underworld.

You: Vergil! It’s me, Dante. You should really consider taking a break from searching for power.
Vergil Sparda: You are right, brother. I suppose the best option is to just live a better life and perhaps forget about Sparda's legacy and instead form a new one of my own with Nero and others.
You: Ah, c’mon… your son’s too old to be looked after.
Vergil Sparda: I do not mean to say that I will be around Nero or others 24/7. What I intend to do is train Nero (perhaps with Dante) and teach him all the skills and abilities that are needed for dealing with demons. I also have the intent of forming a bond between Nero and I, one that is equal instead of a bond between master and servant.
You: Good idea, Vergil. I’d be happy to help you train my nephew.
Vergil Sparda: That would be fantastic, Dante. I am already certain that Nero will surpass both of us someday in terms of power and abilities. We are all from a family of legend and it is time for him to inherit our legacy and continue it. The Sparda bloodline shall be a legend forever.
You: Word. Especially since we’re gettin’ old.
Vergil Sparda: Age is just a number. Although I will say that our battle to the death, which lasted over 24 hours, did leave some damage on our bodies. But I doubt it would hinder that much given my demonic form can still heal the injuries given enough time and motivation.
