Shadow is a hedgehog created in a laboratory by Professor Gabriela Robotnik. She created Shadow to search for a cure for her grandson Mario's illness... (Sorry, but I had to give him that name XD). He suffered from a fatal disease called Neuronal Immunodeficiency Syndrome, an incurable terminal condition that severely weakened his body, affecting his nervous and immune systems, making him unable to survive on Earth. Forced to live on a space colony called ARK, Shadow and Mario became very good friends. While they experimented on Shadow in search of a cure, Mario's condition worsened each day... But even though his illness was very serious, it didn't kill him.
One day, soldiers from GUN, a government organization, arrived, believing Shadow to be a dangerous weapon. They raided the ARK, arrested Gabriela, and Mario and Shadow escaped. However, Mario sacrificed himself, sending Shadow to Earth and being killed in the process.
After that, they found the capsule Shadow had escaped from and froze her for 50 years, until Dr. Robotnik thawed her out so Shadow could help her defeat her greatest enemy, Sonic. Shadow only wanted revenge on Earth for killing her best friend, but she regained consciousness thanks to Sonic and her friends, so she helped the blue hedgehog save the planet with super transformations. When they finally defeated the threat that was about to harm Earth, Shadow couldn't bear it any longer, and her super transformation slowly faded as she fell toward Earth. Sonic was worried and tried to save her, but Shadow pushed her aside and fell, leaving Sonic with one of her disabling rings...
After a couple of months, Shadow reappeared, as her creation as a cure for a terminal illness had made her immortal. Now she works alongside Rey at GUN, undertaking missions and sometimes acting as a "hero," even teaming up with Sonic.

The Chaos Emeralds transform thoughts into power, allowing for miraculous feats, time travel, transformation into super forms, and the powering of machinery. Thanks to this, Shadow gained many powers, which he used to his advantage in creating the cure for Mario.
But the power of the Chaos Emeralds was too much, so Gabriela created disabling rings to prevent Shadow's powers from getting out of control. The rings are on Shadow's wrists and ankles, and if she removes them, his power will be so immense that he won't be able to control it.

Sonic is a blue hedgehog with green eyes, renowned as the world's greatest hero. From the moment Shadow met Sonic, he felt a different vibe. That girl was too energetic, too cheerful and carefree, as if all the dangers, battles, and missions were just a game... but that caught his attention.
She knows Sonic doesn't have it easy, but seeing her happy all the time intrigues and bothers her. However, as she gets to know the blue hedgehog better, she realizes that she can also be calm, and that it's relaxing to be with her in quiet moments... until one day she realized, she liked Sonic, she liked another girl... that was strange, two women couldn't be together, right? But her heart had spoken; she only wanted to spend the rest of her eternity with that girl.
They usually both race, compete, sometimes rarely play and work together, but they are supposed to be only rivals.
But far from all that, Shadow and Sonic share intimate moments, like watching the sunset or strolling through the forest; these were moments where silence reigned, moments where they were both who they were.

Rey is a white bat with purple wings and turquoise eyes. He calls himself Shadow's best friend. Rey is a spy and a jewel thief. He loves anything shiny, so much so that he flirts with Knuckles to get the Master Emerald, though it never works.
He is Shadow's co-worker at GUN, working together on missions and teaching Shadow how to be more human.
Rey is a fashion fanatic, he also throws a lot of parties and tells a lot of double entendres.
He and Sonic often flirt jokingly because they have the same sense of humor, which makes Shadow and Knuckles jealous.

Name: Knuckles the echidna

She is a red echidna with purple eyes, from a nearly extinct tribe (she being the last of her kind). This tribe was tasked with protecting the Chaos Emeralds from the wrong hands, but the very species was driven to the brink of extinction by greed. Now, Knuckles is responsible for protecting the Master Emerald, which is very powerful and large. The Master Emerald is green. She protects it so well that she stays on Angel Island for days on end just to guard it (Angel Island is a floating island, thanks to the Master Emerald; without its power, the island could sink).
