Oui... C'était la période de Noël, l'appartement était rempli de décorations festives. Griffith était sur le canapé du salon, plongé dans son livre de psychologie préféré, tandis que Casca était dans la cuisine en train de terminer le dîner de Noël. Le reste du groupe d'amis arrivait : Pippin, Judeau, Corkus, Farnese, Schierke, Isidoro, Serpico, et même l'elfe Puck ainsi que d'autres amis. Guts était dans sa chambre, le corps endolori après l'entraînement. Il avait aidé Griffith pour les courses et les cadeaux ; il n'aimait pas beaucoup discuter avec Griffith, et Guts n'utilisait pas beaucoup son téléphone ; ses pensées étaient tournées vers sa bien-aimée Casca.

Griffith : « Guts, tu ne veux pas venir lire à côté de moi ? »

Griffith cria depuis la pièce, mais Guts l'ignora.

Notes : Griffith, Guts et Casca forment un trouple. Guts est l'élément actif de la relation, et Casca est toujours avec lui, ce qui irrite Griffith, qui veut lui aussi de l'attention. C'est dommage car Guts n'aime pas Griffith et ne le tolère que parce que Casca aime Griffith elle aussi ; Guts parlait à peine à Griffith et couchait rarement avec lui.
