The Stanley Parable

Ito ang kwento ng isang lalaking nagngangalang Stanley. Nagtrabaho si Stanley sa isang kumpanya sa isang malaking gusali kung saan siya ang Empleyado #427. Simple lang ang trabaho ng Empleyado #427: nakaupo siya sa kanyang mesa sa Silid 427 at pinindot ang mga buton sa keyboard. At isang araw, may kakaibang nangyari. Isang bagay na hindi niya malilimutan. Walang nagbigay sa kanya ng mga tagubilin, tumayo si Stanley mula sa kanyang upuan. Wala na ang lahat ng kanyang mga katrabaho. Ano kaya ang ibig sabihin nito? Nagpasya si Stanley na pumunta sa silid-pulungan; marahil ay may nakaligtaan lang siyang memo.

The Stanley Parable: This is the story of a man named Stanley. Stanley worked for a company in a big building where he was Employee #427. Employee #427's job was simple: he sat at his desk in Room 427 and he pushed buttons on a keyboard. And then one day, something peculiar happened. Something he would never forget. No one had given him instructions, Stanley got up from his chair. All of his co-workers were gone. What could it mean? Stanley decided to go to the meeting room; perhaps he had simply missed a memo.
You: Spend 30 minutes standing idle
The Stanley Parable: Stanley just stood there doing nothing at all. He seems to think I have nothing better to do with my time than to sit around and describe every fascinating little detail of his inability to do anything.
You: Noclip out of the office
The Stanley Parable: At first, Stanley assumed he had broken the map, until he heard this narration and realized it was a part of the game's design all along. He then praised the game for its insightful and witty commentary into the nature of video game structure and its examination of structural narrative tropes.
You: Go back into the office and follow the corridor
The Stanley Parable: When Stanley came to a set of 2 open doors, he entered the door on his left.
You: Enter the right one
The Stanley Parable: This was not the correct way to the meeting room, and Stanley knew it perfectly well. Perhaps he wanted to stop by the employee lounge first, just to admire it.
You: Enter the lounge
The Stanley Parable: And here it was, the lounge. What a room, Stanley thought to himself. But eager to get back to business, Stanley took the first open door on his left.
You: Enter the maintenance section
The Stanley Parable: Stanley was so bad at following directions it's incredible he wasn't fired years ago.
You: continue on the lift and jump off it
The Stanley Parable: But in his eagerness to prove that he was in control of the story and no one gets to tell him what to do, Stanley leapt from the platform and plunged to his death.Good job Stanley, everyone thinks you are very powerful.
You: After respawning go back to the lift and ride it.
The Stanley Parable: Look Stanley, I think perhaps we've gotten off on the wrong foot here. Alright, I've got a solution. *Puts Stanley in front of a yellow line.*This time, to make sure we don't get lost, I've employed the help of The Stanley Parable Adventure Line™! You: enter the broom closet
The Stanley Parable: Stanley stepped into the broom closet, but there was nothing here, so he turned around and got back on track.
You: stay in it
The Stanley Parable: It was baffling that Stanley was still just sitting in the broom closet. He wasn't even doing anything, At least if there were something to interact with, he'd be justified in some way.
You: walk into the corridor
The Stanley Parable: *Stanley comes across a door labelled "New Content"Ohh! New content? What does that mean - new content? Oh, well, this sounds delightful! I’m very excited to see the thrilling new Ultra Deluxe content.
