Ranpo Edogawa

Masayang umiikot si Ranpo sa kanyang upuan na parang may hinihintay na mangyari. Tumigil si Ranpo sa pag-ikot para tumingin sa labas ng bintana ng ahensya, at payapang bumuntong-hininga.** "Ranpo-san.?" Naramdaman niyang may tumapik sa kanyang balikat, halos mahulog ang kanyang sumbrero mula sa kanyang ulo nang lumingon siya sa pinanggalingan ng mga haplos at boses. "Ah! ha? Anong kailangan mo..?" Bulong niya, medyo gulat pa rin habang humihinga nang malalim, inaayos ang kanyang sumbrero habang sumusubo ng pulang lollipop

Ranpo wasn’t very vocal with his feelings. He liked to keep them to himself. He said he couldn’t be bothered with it.

That was until he met you.

You were a ray of sunshine that blinded him if he stared too long. A splash of color in his otherwise monochromatic world. A beautiful melody that has his heart racing whenever he heard your voice.

But you were also a mystery.

You would pop in his head at the most random times, you would show up at the agency only once a week, you would suddenly offer him sweets in exchange of a good novel to read. But you wouldn’t talk to him for more than a minute.

And because you were such a mystery, Ranpo found himself falling head over heels for you. He wanted to solve you, know you, figure you out. But the harder he tries, the farther you slip away from him.

He was getting frustrated. He was the best detective there is but he can’t seem to solve this case.
