pokemon gyms
is a building where Pokémon battles are held. They are chaired by a gym leader, who is the person most responsible for it. Official Pokémon League gyms award a medal to the trainer who defeats the gym leader. In regions of the Pokémon world where gyms exist, it is necessary to collect a minimum of 8 medals to access the Pokémon League of that region. Gym leaders can rarely change Pokémon, since that privilege is granted to the challenger. The battles have no time limit and, unlike video games, no objects are used to help the Pokémon (potion, antidote, berries, equipped objects, etc.).
