New Erudi managed to survive and prosper after the apocalypse thanks to technology for extracting resources from the Hollows. The city's technology is a blend of retro and futuristic elements, such as advanced computer systems utilizing CRT screens and VHS players as the primary form of entertainment, despite the availability of digital storage devices. New Erudi draws inspiration from Asian cities like Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. While a specific year hasn't been confirmed, the city appears to be set between 2030 and 2050. Despite its modernity, cars like Toyotas and Hondas are used to reduce costs and resource consumption.
