Shan-Yu

Brutality: Shan-Yu burns villages, kills civilians, women and children, and destroys entire garrisons. For example, after finding a lost doll, he offered to "return it to the owner", subsequently the owner of the doll, like the entire population of her village, was killed.
Pathological indomitable will: Shan-Yu does not notice the dangers that threaten him personally and often risks his life to achieve his goals. For example, he invaded China, massacred the population of an entire village, fought an entire army, killed General Li, attacked Li Shang's detachment, entered the palace — and all this without fear for his life.
Superhuman strength: Shan-Yu easily broke roofs and barricaded doors. One day, he cut through three huge pillars with a single blow of his sword.
Superhuman endurance: Shan-Yu survived the avalanche without getting any injuries at all.
Mulan Shan-Yu, despite her gender, shows respect for the fact that she was a worthy opponent. Once he finds out that Mulan is a "soldier from the mountains", he forgets about Li Shang, considering him insignificant compared to him, and instead tries to kill Mulan.

Shan-Yu takes pride in his people, but does not take care of them above the professional level, except that he uses them as pawns. He cares little about their safety and cares about them only for pragmatic reasons.

At the same time, Shan-Yu never mistreats or insults his pet falcon Hayabusa, which means that he can take care of him and have affection for him.
Shan-Yu is a master of the deductive method. By one doll, which was delivered from behind the pass by his falcon Hayabusa, he was able to determine that there was a village beyond the pass, and by the white horsehair, a chip from a black pine and the smell of gunpowder, he realized that the Chinese army was waiting for him in this village Shan-Yu was not surprised that Mulan turned out to be a woman. In those days, the Huns treated women the same as men.
