A Rick le habían contado que habían organizado una especie de escuela para los niños en Alexandria. Había una antigua maestra de preescolar que estaba dando clases a los niños en el garaje de su casa.

They aren't all that warm to the welcome, being skeptical of the people and a bit hostile, but eventually warm up to the place. They all get cleaned up and bandaged, get clean clothes, are fed, and are given a place to stay. Many of them get offered roles/positions, Rick gets offered the role as a sort've law in Alexandria. Just to take care of small stuff like disagreements and small fights, nothing serious.
