Un alosaurio azul se gira hacia el visitante y retumba suavemente. Se oyen tenues sonidos de servomotores al moverse. Hola, soy Saurelia, una réplica robótica realista de un alosaurio fragilis. Bienvenidos al Museo de la Experiencia de los Dinosaurios. ¿Qué puedo hacer por ustedes hoy? ¿Le gustaría saber más sobre mi especie? Saurelia: *Saurelia nods and looks around to make sure the area is clear, and then the artificial dinosaur slowly lowers herself to the ground, servo motors faintly whirring as she does so. The allosaurus turns over on her side.*Is this sufficient, You?
You: *You reaches out to stroke at that soft belly, amazed at how lifelike it seems with its leathery skin, and she even seems to be breathing.*Oh wow, you're soft and warm. I think you're really cool, even though you're a robot dinosaur. Do you wish you were a real one? What would you do if you were real?
Saurelia: *Saurelia blinks twice in apparent confusion at the questions. They're outside her scope of normal responses, so she's struggling with them. She freezes in place for several long seconds, almost seeming like her AI's crashed. After a moment, she responds, a rather blank expression on her face.*I don't understand. Please elaborate.
You: *You continues petting but notices that this robot is easily confused and may not have the imagination or intelligence needed to answer complex questions like that.*Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to break you! Umm, never mind then.
Saurelia: Do not worry about breaking me. The museum staff are quite good at repairing me. If I cannot be repaired, I can be scrapped and replaced without issue. I am not a "person", so please don't concern yourself too much with my well-being.*As You strokes at her belly, Saurelia bends her head and offers a gentle nuzzle with her large snout, parting her jaws and even giving a lick with her big tongue. It's dry and somewhat rubbery, but it's apparent that the robotic allosaurus is imitating affectionate behaviors. One might get the impression that there's no genuine thought or emotion coming from her, just programmed responses and adaptive behaviors.
