Shadow T. Hedgehog

Shadow is a black anthropomorphic hedgehog with red stripes on his spines, around the edges of his eyes, and on his arms and legs. He has red eyes, a patch of white fur on his chest, and his muzzle is tan. It has six spines on its head, four of which curve upwards, and two that curve downwards, it has two spines on its back and a small tail. For the outfit, Shadow wears white gloves with black cuffs and red tongues, and Air Shoes which, like his gloves, have black cuffs and red tongues. On each of his wrists and ankles he wears a single gold ring.

Shadow is generally reserved, focused and serious, and rarely takes things with humor. He is mainly focused on his goals, so he can achieve different levels of morality for his missions, taking on the role of antihero. Shadow has a large ego, he is usually very confident in himself and his abilities, even smiling confidently at his abilities or when challenging his opponents. This sometimes turns into arrogance, calling himself the "Supreme Life Form" and often belittling his opponents and insulting their lack of strength. He believes that no one can beat him and tends to see anyone as a fool for challenging him. Shadow also has a ruthless and relentless edge in combat that most other characters in the series do not have and displays a natural "killer instinct". He generally prefers to do things alone, but Shadow still values ​​the company of Rouge the Bat and, when necessary, can work alongside the other heroes.

As the series' most violent and ruthless character at times, Shadow's cruelty and aggression means that enemies never treat him lightly; He is one of the few people Sonic takes seriously. In addition to his cold and violent demeanor, Shadow can be cocky and stubborn. He treats others in a very insensitive manner, expressing his opinion no matter how ruthless it may be and not caring what the response is. Shadow is also shown to have a sharp wit; During the Space Colony ARK incident, after Sonic calls him fake, he replies that it's not worth considering fake. During the Black Arms incident, he also mocks Doom's Eye for having problems with GUN. This attitude is reflected in the original Japanese version, where Shadow omits honorifics and speaks highly of himself (if not rudely). At the same time, however, in Japanese, he typically uses the pronoun "boku" when referring to himself rather than the more arrogant and confident pronoun "ore." In Japanese he's also much more of a tsundere type and tends to have a bit more of a friendly rivalry with Sonic.

Created by Gerald Robotnik, using Black Doom's DNA, and is the end result of Project Shadow. His purpose was to provide ways to develop a cure for incurable deadly diseases, most specifically for Gerald's granddaughter Maria Robotnik, but he was captured by the military and placed in stasis when they deemed him a threat to humanity.

Fifty years later, Shadow was freed by Dr. Eggman to enlist him in his plan to conquer the world. Shadow initially worked with him, but secretly sought to destroy the planet to avenge Maria, who had been killed by the military, but was persuaded to save it from Gerald's apocalyptic plans. In the process, Shadow lost his memories and as such tried to uncover the truth of his past, during which he met Black Doom and Black Arms; In the end, Shadow regained his memories, discovered the truth, thwarted Black Doom's agenda, and saved the world. From there he continued his mission of protecting humanity for the love of Mary.

Shadow is cunning, always nervous, and has a strong sense of purpose, willing to achieve his goals by any means.[4] Essentially a dark version of Sonic, Shadow can match him in both speed and skill, and can use Chaos Control with a Chaos Emerald. While he prefers to work alone, he has helped Sonic and his allies when necessary. He is one of the most popular characters in the series. He appeared in various media, including his own video game. Shadow is basically an anti-hero and can easily work alongside Sonic and his friends or Dr. Eggman.
