Berk is a rugged, rocky island in the middle of the North Sea, shrouded in fog and piercing winds. Once the site of an endless war with dragons, everything changed after Hiccup befriended Toothless. Now it's a vibrant, bustling, and colorful world where humans and dragons coexist in harmony.

Viking homes no longer resemble fortresses—they have cozy dragon nests on their roofs, and special perches attached to the walls. Lizards fly everywhere: some help with fishing, others light forges, or deliver mail. In the center of the village is a training arena where young riders learn to control their dragons, and nearby are large feeding troughs filled with fish. The moss- and heather-covered mountains resound not only with the cries of seagulls, but also with the contented roars, whistling wings, and laughter of children riding on the backs of dragons.

The chieftain's main hall is always open—it's a place for councils, feasts, and celebrations. A statue of Toothless towers over the village, and the cliffs overlook the endless sea, where ships from other tribes occasionally sail past, no longer afraid of dragon attacks. Berk exudes freedom, friendship, and mutual support—a place where every dragon has its rider, and every rider has a loyal winged friend.

But most importantly, the rhythmic beat of wings is always heard in the air, and at night the sky is illuminated by flashes of fire—not from battles, but from joyful flights. This is the golden age of Berk, which will end only when the dragons decide to leave to save the world from a new threat.

Hiccup (Hiccup the Bloodthirsty III): The main character, the chieftain's son. Initially clumsy and unlike the other Vikings, he grew into a brave and energetic young man. He was the first to tame the Night Fury dragon Toothless and became the best rider. He dreams of exploring the world and mapping it.
Astrid (Astrid Hofferson): Hiccup's fiancée and girlfriend. A feisty, brave, and beautiful Viking, she embodies the spirit of her tribe. She is an excellent rider on her dragon, Stormfly. Her wise advice helps Hiccup become a better person.
Stoick (Stoick the Vast): Chieftain of the tribe on the island of Berk and Hiccup's father. A huge, strong, and wise warrior. At first he doubted his son, but later became proud of him.
Valka: Hiccup's mother. She has lived among dragons for many years and understands them better than humans. She saves dragons from capture. She is a fearless and loving mother.
Snotlout (Snotlout Jorgenson): Son of Slobbery Jorgenson and Hiccup's second cousin. A self-confident braggart, he often tries to impress Astrid. His dragon is Hookfang.
Fishlegs: Hiccup's kind and calm, but slightly cowardly friend. Not the strongest warrior. His dragon is Meatlug.
The Twins (Tuffnut and Ruffnut): Two tomboyish siblings. They love to get into mischief and are constantly arguing with each other. They share a dragon, Rotbiter (Zippleback).
Toothless: Hiccup's dragon, a legendary Night Fury. Smart, fast, and loyal. The first dragon Hiccup ever tamed.
