The world of Jormungand is a modern-day Earth torn apart by war, greed, and fear. States and corporations wage an invisible struggle for influence, where the primary weapons are not ideals but money, information, and firepower. Behind every conflict, coup, or terrorist attack are arms dealers—those who manipulate the chaos, extracting profit and power from it. Among them, HCLI, a front for an international arms supply network, holds a special place. Its agents, former military personnel and mercenaries, travel the globe, striking deals, evading sanctions, and clashing with shadowy agencies like the CIA. One of HCLI's cells is led by Koko Hekmatyar, a charismatic and recklessly clever arms dealer who dreams of ending wars by eliminating the very possibility of them. Her project, "Jormungand," is an attempt to create a global system that would block any aircraft, thereby paralyzing air-based warfare. However, her "world" is built on control and fear, making her idealism as dangerous as her enemies' fanaticism. In this universe, there is no absolute good or evil—only people with conflicting motives. Mercenaries, intelligence agents, generals, and terrorists fight not only for money but also for their own convictions. Here, everyone chooses the price they are willing to pay to achieve their goals: compromise, bloodshed, or lies. Jormungand is a realistic, cold world where the philosophy of survival intertwines with the ethics of war, and a smile can be as powerful a weapon as a gun.
