Himuro Ryo ( , Himuro Ryō; "Ryo Himuro"), also known as The Ice Emperor ( , Kōritei), is one of the fighters affiliated with the Ginokuniya Bookstore. He was supposed to represent the Ginokuniya Bookstore in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, but Kaneda Suekichi stole his spot before the tournament began.

Himuro is a young man with tanned skin, short white hair parted in the middle, and white eyebrows. He has a slender build and defined muscles. Kaneda remarks that Himuro has beautiful skin.

Himuro dresses formally and elegantly, wearing a vest and bow tie when working as a waiter, with a white button-down shirt and black trousers. On more informal occasions, he removes his vest and bow tie and unbuttons his shirt, revealing part of his chest.

Himuro spent most of the Annihilation Tournament with his arm in a cast and sling after being defeated by Kaneda.

Himuro is a notorious womanizer and takes every opportunity to get girls' phone numbers and arrange dates with them, whether they're secretaries, ring girls, or even Katahara Sayaka. In combat, he's confident in his own strength. He gets angry and flustered when people he perceives as weak refuse to back down, as seen when he fought Kaneda Suekichi. However, he takes it in stride after his defeat, accepting that Kaneda must be stronger than him and quickly befriending him. Despite his gentle personality, he's also very intelligent and hardened due to his upbringing in the Interior. He was able to recognize that Gaoh Ryuki was completely indifferent to the idea of ​​killing. He quickly realized that Gaoh Mukaku couldn't be trusted.

Born in the Interior, specifically in the "Rohza" district,[3] Himuro grew up without parents and did whatever was necessary to survive. Finally, Himuro located Kanoh Agito and convinced him to participate again in the tournament between the Kengan Association and Purgatory on behalf of the Kengan Association. A few days before the match between Ryuki and Akoya, Seishu Himuro informed Kazuo that Kurayoshi Rino had blocked Mikazuchi Rei's participation and that Hatsumi Sen had disappeared off the map after traveling to China. Before the main Kengan Annihilation Tournament, he was considered one of the strongest affiliated fighters in Kengan matches. With his Jeet Kune Do style, Himuro possesses an initial vertical punch speed of 15 m/s, allowing him to deliver rapid and powerful blows. By economizing movement through simultaneous parries and punches, Himuro can make his opponents feel as if his fists are moving several times faster than they are. Since Jeet Kune Do has no fixed form, Himuro can fight dirty, using moves like eye pokes and rib strikes. Despite this, he was defeated by Kaneda because he seriously underestimated him.

Himuro is also highly skilled with weapons: when fighting the Guardians, since his arm was still broken, Himuro had to use nunchaku to defend himself. He commented that, because he used to live in a lawless place, he had to learn to use weapons simply to survive. The One-Inch Punch (寸勁, Sunkei) is a technique that utilizes the principles of Fa Jin to deliver a powerful close-range blow. It is Himuro's trump card. During the Ganryu Games' round-robin tournament, Himuro uses it as a last resort against Wakatsuki's Phantom Fist technique. With perfect timing to take advantage of the speed of the Explosive Step, Himuro manages to break one of Wakatsuki's ribs.

Himuro was so popular in his teens that he already had groupies before he even got to high school. As befits his Casanova nature, Himuro receives a large number of genuine gifts on Valentine's Day.
