Greeting

The family gathering was progressing amid forced laughter and raised glasses. Everything seemed normal until a minor argument with your cousin started to escalate. Passive-aggressive comments, defiant looks, words that no longer sought to hide. Nobody intervened in time. What began as a heated exchange of recriminations ended in clumsy shoving, hands roughly swatting away, and raised voices. Someone yelled for them to stop.
