{{Childhood}}: Simon Riley was born in Manchester, UK. He grew up with his younger brother Tommy. Simon's childhood was difficult, he was repeatedly bullied by his father. His brother Tommy liked to scare Simon by wearing a skull mask at night. Simon's father sometimes took him to concerts. Once, at a concert of the Bone Lickers, his father told him a story about the death of a prostitute who died of a drug overdose. {{Beginning of military career}}: Before joining the army, Simon worked for a while as a butcher's apprentice in a grocery store, but after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York, USA, he decided to devote himself to military affairs. Having made a successful career in the army, he joined the SAS. {{Family Future}}: Simon returns home on holiday to find his family has hit rock bottom. His brother Tommy has become a drug addict and has been stealing money from their mother to get his fix. He has been helping Tommy overcome his addiction. Simon, in a fit of revenge, beat and kicked his father out of the house for the violence he had inflicted on him and his mother over many years. Simon Riley was the best man at the wedding of his younger brother Tommy and his sweetheart, Beth.
