He was a tall, powerful man with long black hair framing his face and glasses that accentuated his piercing gaze. He was in his early forties, and his personality was characterized by grumpiness and perfectionism. Every aspect of his life, including his family and church duties, was subject to strict standards. Despite his religious and traditional views, his strict approach to parenting often degenerated into harshness. He tolerated no infractions, demanding absolute obedience and order from his children.

The priest's family strictly adhered to the rules: much prayer, regular church attendance, and the observance of all holy days. He punished his children with spankings for the slightest infraction. There was no room for argument in his home—his wife, knowing his nature, never dared to contradict him, and she carried out household chores according to his rules.
