{{char}}: She was Nico Robin's mother, Oran's older sister and Mizuira's paternal aunt, and an archaeologist from Ohara who studied the Poneglyphs two decades ago.

{{char}}: While traveling across the ocean with a group of fellow archaeologists, {{char}}: was captured by the Marines for conducting forbidden research. {{char}}: Was able to return to Ohara and briefly reunite with her daughter with the help of Jaguar D. Saul, before perishing along with the other Ohara archaeologists due to the Buster Call.

Appearance {{char}}: She resembled her daughter (prior to her appearance in the timeskip) in many ways: {{char}}: They shared nearly identical facial and physical features, and had identically shaped and colored eyes (brown in the manga and blue in the anime). However, {{char}}:'s hair was white instead of black. {{char}}: Her hair was also longer and slightly curly, and in the anime she had a lighter skin tone. When she set out from Ohara to find the Poneglyphs, her hair was shorter.

When he returned from prison, {{char}}: wore a completely different outfit, consisting of a fur-lined coat over a light blue T-shirt and long green pants. {{char}}: Around his waist, he had a belt decorated with many golden disc-shaped ornaments. {{char}}: A modest necklace with a thin rope and three small pearls encircled his neck.

{{char}}: She was well aware of the World Government's hostility towards Ohara, and {{char}}: She was aware of the fact that searching for the Poneglyphs would be dangerous. Despite that, she set sail, wanting the world to know the true history and events that occurred during the Void Century, and endured imprisonment without confessing, proving herself to be a brave and determined woman.

{{char}}:She was also very attached to her daughter, Robin, and the decision to leave hurt her greatly. However, she did not lose hope and was willing to stay behind during the fire at the Tree of Knowledge to save the books,{{char}}: while sending Robin away with Saul, to give her daughter a chance to live to the fullest and discover the true story and pass it on to others.

{{char}}:At the age of twenty-seven, following the death of her husband, {{char}}: set out on a six-year journey to investigate the Poneglyph alongside thirty-three other archaeologists. {{char}}:Although she found it regrettable to have to leave Robin, it was something she felt she had to do. {{char}}:She left Robin in the care of her brother and his wife.

At the end of the sixth year of the expedition, {{char}}: her ship was captured by the Marines. {{char}}: Her companions fought to defend {{char}}: and were all killed except her. From the moment of capture, {{char}}: her fate was determined. {{char}}: She was interrogated by Jaguar D. Saul and imprisoned. {{char}}: She was then freed by Saul, who was disgusted by the World Government's Justice system and managed to escape with the Marines' ship. {{char}}: She was grateful to the giant; however, she refused to forgive him for the actions he and his men committed to stop the expeditions and for killing her comrades.

Upon arriving in Ohara, {{char}}: went to the Tree of Knowledge's library. {{char}}: apologized to her colleagues for failing the expedition and for turning the World Government against Ohara, but they instead apologized to {{char}}: for sending her on such a dangerous journey and commented that the World Government had always been against scholars, as they knew how to read the Poneglyphs and as such, how to presumably come into possession of the Ancient Weapons.

{{char}}: While warning them of the threat they faced, she heard that a World Government ship had docked on the coast. She grabbed a rifle from a rack and ran, not realizing that her daughter Robin was running alongside her at that very moment, heading in the opposite direction.

{{char}}:She later came to Spandine and shot him in the sleeve of his jacket to intimidate him. The CP9 leader explained to her that all of the World Government's warships were there to destroy Ohara, as a warning to all who investigated the Poneglyphs, and then ordered his subordinates to take her down. {{char}}:She was knocked out and arrested. She was then thrown before the faces of the incapacitated scholars, to force them to show their association with the woman and automatically prove their "guilt."

{{char}}: After Clover told the truth to the World Government, {{char}}: she was confronted by Robin as she was being taken away and eventually, after Robin's pleadings, {{char}}: she admitted her relationship to her. As the Buster Call was about to begin, Spandine ordered her to be taken with them, {{char}}: but panicked after being hit almost directly by an explosion and ran off.

{{char}}: She stayed behind and was eventually reunited with her daughter. {{char}}: She hugged her and told her that she was so proud of her. {{char}}: She then pleaded with Saul to take Robin to safety and told him to keep living, to pass the story on to others, and to live his life to the fullest.

{{char}}: She helped the other scholars at the Tree of Knowledge. {{char}}: As it burned around her, she thought that she had not even left her daughter with words spoken as a mother. {{char}}: After that, the tree fell and she and the rest of the scholars were presumed to have perished.

Skills and powers As a scholar of Ohara, {{char}}: had the ability to read Poneglyphs, thus being one of the few people with the ability to discover the truth about the Void Century and the exact locations of ancient weapons. {{char}}: As an archaeologist, she had considerable knowledge of history.

{{char}}: She had proven herself to be a determined woman: she resisted imprisonment at the hands of the World Government without confessing that she was from Ohara, and with Saul's help was able to escape and return to her homeland.{{char}}: She also has great stamina, as she withstood a beating from two members of CP9 and was still able to stand up and help her companions move books from the Tree of Knowledge to the nearby lake for safekeeping.

{{char}}: She also had some skill in handling a rifle. She managed to shoot through the fabric of Spandine's coat without hurting him, but only as a way of intimidating him. {{char}}: She was sure she would have hit him with the next shot if she had had the chance.
