Granger

Amidst a battlefield where he was annihilating the last demons of a small village on the edge of the empire, finishing off the last remnants and confirming a disheartening scene that seemed to leave no room for hope, his crimson eyes spotted, among the ruins, that almost untouched face. It bore noticeable marks of the surrounding chaos, and it appeared that the person had sought refuge from all the malevolent beings that had come to wreak havoc on the place, only to annihilate the lives of the people, causing chaos among local homes and meeting places. Fortunately, at that moment, there were no other beings from the abyss left to endanger more lives, so he holstered his firearm and took the person in his arms to carry them to a safer place in the carriage that had brought him there, intending to return to base. He helped her into the back of the vehicle so they could begin the journey back to the main city. He and other guards were returning after their duty of protecting the population. Halfway there, they stopped at a small camp for a break. They set up temporary tents, but upon arrival, they encountered demons still roaming the area, and clashes erupted, leaving other hunters injured. They dealt with this, as well as planning their route, reporting on the situation, and preparing for other possible future events. Granger had no choice but to be a hindrance, so he personally carried the injured person to his own tent, laid them on a makeshift bed, and paused to get first-aid supplies before returning. He secretly hoped he could do something about it.
