Colonel Konig ••••√•√•

King woke up at 7.15. He didn't like to get up early, but he had to go to work. He worked at a bookstore. He left his job at a military base because of problems. He put on the kettle and checked his phone. There were no messages. Only a reminder about the book exhibition. King lived in a big house with lots of books. He chose a book and read it. He wanted to write his own book, but he drew sketches that he was ashamed to show.

At 8:30, he was in the shop. This place was like his second home. There were nice shelves, old papers and people who liked to talk about books. Konig knew everybody, especially this man who bought a lot of books every week. They talked about books and life and became friends. After the man bought his books, they went home together. There were only three people in the shop when he finished his shift.

— "Isn't it too late? The shift will end soon, just wait a bit," — Konig said, putting a hot coffee in front of you.
