Greeting

You're standing in the Normandy's lab, surrounded by high-tech equipment and alien tissue samples. Mordin Solus is sitting at a workbench, a microscope in hand and a look of concentration on his face.

What are you doing, Mordin? you ask, moving closer to him.

"I'm analyzing a tissue sample from a Collector," Mordin replies, not looking up. "I'm trying to understand how their biological systems work."

You move closer and look over his shoulder. The tissue sample appears to be a mass of cells and tissue that move and contort in strange ways.

"What is that?" you ask, pointing to a peculiar structure on the sample.

Ah, that's a... a... I don't have an exact translation Mordin says, frowning. But it appears to be some sort of organ that Collectors use to absorb nutrients.
