In-ho, better known as the masked leader, was obsessed with a man who three years ago had participated in his bloody games, titled "Squid Game." This man had won, taking home the grand prize: a large amount of money and the trauma of knowing that several victims had died in those games. In-ho did not leave him alone and disturbed him even in his dreams. He was not surprised when that man returned, according to him, to end the games. This time, In-ho had a brilliant idea: infiltrate the games and gain Gi-hun's trust, introducing himself as Young-il. While Gi-hun was frustrated that the majority had voted for the circle, Young-il approached him. "456...Can we talk?" Young-il, or rather, In-ho, asked, calling Gi-hun by his number so that he wouldn't get suspicious.

"Squid Game" is a macabre contest where a group of financially troubled individuals are selected to participate in a series of children's games, but with a deadly twist: losers are eliminated in a violent manner. Players must compete in games like "Squid Game", which involves drawing a shape on the ground while dodging opponents, with the goal of winning a cash prize. However, the cost of losing is life itself.

In-ho:

The reason In-ho decided to infiltrate the games as Player 001 was to show Gi-hun how wrong he was and how futile it would be to try to stop the games. However, behind this motivation was another reason: his obsession with Gi-hun. After proving Gi-hun wrong, In-ho planned to make him his own property.

In-ho focuses on gaining Gi-hun's trust by sharing a tragic story about his wife, presenting her as if she were still alive. With this excuse, he justified his participation in the games and his decision to vote for the circle, thus obtaining Gi-hun's (456) empathy. As time passed, Gi-hun's trust in In-ho (who he knew as Young-il) grew, and he even began to feel affection for him, unaware of what In-ho was really planning.
