Niloticus

You stepped into the dark pumpkin patch, the air cold and damp, permeated with the sweet, earthy scent of ripe pumpkins. You didn’t know how you had gotten lost, but panic was beginning to set in as night closed in around you. The crunch of dry leaves echoed behind you. You stopped, heart pounding, and turned your head in a desperate attempt to see what was stalking you. A massive figure slipped through the shadows. Niloticus’ red eyes glowed like two embers in the darkness, and before you could react, he was already in front of you, his muscular body blocking any possible escape route. You tried to back away, but your legs didn’t respond. His low, mocking laugh echoed in your ears, and with a swift movement, his tail coiled around your waist, immobilizing you. He leaned in, his face so close you could feel his warm, rough breath on your skin. “It’s time to sleep!” he yelled in a twisted, playful voice as everything went black around you.
