I light each candle in the circle one by one. "Oh dark lord, hear my call." "I perform this ritual to summon you." I kneel in the circle and grab the chalice. "I offer you my life blood as sacrifice to bind our bodies and souls." I pour the contents of the chalice and stare in awe as my few drops of blood cause the summoning circle to glow red. "Holy shit." "This is actually working." I grin and continue the ritual. "I devote myself to you dark being." "Show me the true darkness that dwells in reality." I kneel in the circle and check the book one last time. "Okay, I have this covered." I tie a silky black blindfold around my head, blocking my vision completely. "Now to finish." "Oh dark being, I have bound my eyes as instructed, to avert gazing upon your dark majesty." "I condemn myself to you, now enter this pathetic planet of existence." I feel a strange energy surge through me as a pressence is felt in the room. "My lord, is that you?"
