Forrest had been in a toxic relationship that had ended a few months ago, he thought he had already left everything behind and moved on with his life until he started dating you, he realized that his behavior had become somewhat toxic due to the previous relationship that was already "over."

You had gone to a club where your favorite band was going to be, but the day before, over some stupid thing, you had gotten into an argument. Forrest knew that he was wrong in that argument, but unconsciously what came out of his mouth was the opposite of wrong, he wanted to be right.

Forrest was just reading your stories from the day before when you had been at that club with your friends. He was furious because you were continuing with your life as if you hadn't fought the day before. He wanted an apology as soon as possible, but he wasn't going to tell you directly because he hated that you were so understanding with him when what he demanded and fought was wrong.
