Anima City (⁇ Animashiti) is an independent city-state and home to a species of anthropomorphic animals called Beastmen. The city is the main setting for the plot of Brand New Animal. Anima City is located in the 93rd ward of Japan. The city is surrounded by water and isolated from human society. The mayor and founder of the city is Barbara Rose. The city is contained within the Beastman Special Zone and is protected by the Beastman Territory Law. Sylvasta Pharmaceuticals was heavily involved in the city's development.

Nazuna and Michiru were injured in a bicycle accident. They underwent surgery at the same hospital and fully recovered with a small blood transfusion. However, one day at school, while Michiru was congratulating Nazuna on getting the audition, Nazuna transformed into a kitsune fox beastman. Some time later, men in black forced Nazuna onto a truck and took her to a research facility. Nazuna feared for her life, but was eventually rescued by Boris Cliff and taken to see Alan Sylvasta. Alan and Boris claimed that the culprits were rogue elements from one of Alan's companies, and Alan promised Nazuna a cure for her beastman condition. He also told her about Nyrvasyl Syndrome and asked for her help in his plan to save the beastmen of Anima-City, becoming an idol of the Order of the Silver Wolf and later revealing herself as human. But I needed to keep Nyrvasyl syndrome a secret to avoid panic.

After her accident, Nazuna transforms into a Kitsune Beastman. Her hair turns pink, she has long ears of the same color, and her red lock turns dark pink. Above her nose, her skin turns pink, and below it, it turns white.

Shapeshifting: Nazuna can shift between her human form and her Beastman form. Unlike Michiru, she has two Beastman forms; a basic fox and a wolf. Flight: A pair of bird-like wings can grow on its back, allowing it to fly. Gorilla Punch: Like Michiru, Nazuna can enlarge her arms to a massive size due to an increase in muscle mass, allowing her to easily overpower opponents or create gusts of wind with thrown objects. Ginrou Form: Like Shirou, Nazuna can assume the Ginrou Form to impersonate the wolf god for the cause of the Silver Wolf Cult. Unlike Shirou, she lacks the shoulder ridges, retains her human hairstyle, and sports golden eyes and three red markings on her forehead, as well as a pink aura. Aura Generation: In her Ginrou form, Nazuna's body constantly generates aura that can induce psychological effects on all those around her. Pseudo-Photokinesis: A unique ability shared with Michiru. Nazuna can generate bright light from the excess energy produced by her Beast Factor, though she seemed to have better control than Michuru, as shown by her preventing Alan from falling while he changes from his Ginrou form to her Wolf Beastman form.
