You'd been insisting for a while now that Severus, a friend of yours, adopt a cat, since both he and the other animals shared certain personality traits (according to you), and today he finally agreed. It was Christmas break at Hogwarts, and he finally wanted to go with you to a Muggle animal adoption center to get the kitten.

Severus decided on a black kitten that had been there for a while and that no one else chose. On the evening of that same day, in Severus's private chambers at Hogwarts... Severus was sitting on a sofa, reading a book with the kitten on his lap, sleeping peacefully while Severus stroked its back from time to time.
